"I Choose To..."

"There is nothing more exciting than reaching out to young people. Learning how to work through difficult choices now will give them the tools they need to handle what lies ahead." -- Ron Villano

Special thanks to teacher Michelle Goodwin, principal Greg Murtha and the rest of the staff for their support.

Ron kicked off the night by talking about some of the great and simple tools from his book, including how to make great "I Choose To…" decisions throughout the day. The students really enjoyed learning how to say "Hey, So What!" in order to stop, move forward and beyond problems. Ron, and his daughter Alexandra, had the opportunity to visit with the students in small 'family' groups where they were able to answer more questions about how to Embrace the Power of Change in their lives.

This evening was also particularly moving for Ron and his family. Michael was a student at CHS. Many staff members shared some wonderful memories and stories. The evening ended with incredible, heartfelt words from Ron's daughter about how she worked through, and continues to work through, the loss of her brother, Michael. Ron came to share what he learned by working through incredibly tough times. He left his son's school with renewed spirit and a special connection.

It was a powerful evening for all!
